The Changing Role of Design in a Post-Professional Era

This keynote speech was given on 11th May 2010 at the Premsela Forum: (Un)Limited Design in Amsterdam. The forum debated the question of what open design means and what it has to offer to design and to designers. It aimed to explore the sociocultural implications of open design and the democratisation of production and consumption in our design culture.

More information on the symposium and a video of the presentations can be found on the Premsela website.
