22-24 September 2010

An incredible public festival event bringing a wide range of interested parties together to discuss issues ‘about innovative ideas for business and society’. The event is called ‘Picnic’ because everybody has to bring something to the table. I was involved as part of the (Un)Limited Words strand as an invited speaker, and held a round table discussion titled ‘Back to the Future’ exploring issues around Open Design, Professional vs Amateur Design and the effect of emerging technologies on design.

For me, one of the highlights was a keynote lecture by Charles Leadbeater (the author of ‘We-Think’). His talk, called ‘Cloud Culture’ was really inspiring.
